PUBLIC INFORMATION
The Consular Section of the Argentine Embassy in Tokyo is the only consular representation of the Argentine Republic in Japan, and it has jurisdiction over the entire territory.

CONSULAR EMERGENCY
In case of a consular emergency involving Argentine citizens, please contact the emergency phone at 080-1327-9416. To contact from Argentina or outside Japan, dial (+81) 80-1327-9416.
This number is only for emergencies related to accidents, deaths, or detention. Routine inquiries are not handled via this number.
OFFICE HOURS
The office is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Telephone inquiries are handled Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Public holidays are those recognized as such in both the Argentine and Japanese calendars.
All consular and notarial procedures require an appointment, which must be requested via email at consulares_ejapo@mrecic.gov.ar.
Legal or notarial inquiries should be made by email to consulares_ejapo@mrecic.gov.ar.
Procedures that require a fee must be completed before 1:00 PM.

As a general procedure, and to ensure that your application will be processed when you present yourself at the consular office or make the corresponding payment, you are asked to send copies of the required documents via email in advance.
Once it has been confirmed that the applicant has all the necessary documents, they will be contacted by email to schedule an appointment, providing the date and time to appear with the original documents at the Consular Section, unless the procedure can be done by mail or through an agent.
Clarifications:

In accordance with current legislation, all Argentine nationals are reminded that presenting the National Identity Document (D.N.I.) will be mandatory in all cases where proof of identity is required (this includes consular procedures). This cannot be substituted by any other identity document, regardless of its nature or origin (Art. 13 - Law 17.671).

Only individuals directly related to the procedure are allowed inside the Consular Section, except for accompanying elderly individuals or small children. Additionally, the use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited.
