Ambassador Alan Beraud awarded for the first time the Republic of Argentina Cup to the Kawasaki Frontale Soccer Team (Kanagawa Prefecture), winner of the 42nd U-12 National Soccer Championship, organized by the Japanese Football Association during the final match held at the Shiranami Stadium in the city of Kagoshima, on the 29th of December 2018.

The Cup was established together with the Japan Football Association (JFA) to celebrate the 120th Anniversary of Friendship and Diplomatic Relations between Argentina and Japan.

The tournament has the participation of some 5,000 teams and in its final stage 48 teams participated, representing all the regions and prefectures of Japan.
